Great Lakes Home Remodeling has earned the GAF President's Club Award for the second year in a row. The 2026 award, GAF's highest honor for its Master Elite certified contractors, was delivered in person by GAF Territory Manager Kevin O'Brien to CEO Doug Farr at the company's corporate office in Toledo, Ohio. For homeowners in Toledo, Cleveland, and Detroit, it means the GAF roofing contractor down the road is now a back-to-back winner of the industry's top recognition.
When we earned our first President's Club Award last year, we wrote about what the recognition actually means. The short version: GAF is North America's largest roofing manufacturer, only about 2 percent of roofers qualify as Master Elite certified, and the President's Club sits at the very top of that group. It is earned with a full year of strong installation quality, ongoing training, and homeowner satisfaction scores.
Winning it once takes a good year. Winning it twice in a row means holding those standards through every roof in between, and that is the part we are proud of. The award belongs to the crews, the project managers, and the office team who treat each installation like it is the one that will be inspected.
GAF Territory Manager Kevin O'Brien delivered the 2026 award personally to CEO Doug Farr at the Great Lakes corporate office in Toledo. Territory managers are the link between the manufacturer and the contractors who install its products, so having Kevin hand over the award in person meant more than receiving a box in the mail.
He had a second reason to be in the building. GAF also helped sponsor our Employee Appreciation Day, a taco truck lunch for the whole team that we are calling Cinco de Monday. It felt right that the company recognizing our work also showed up to feed the people who do it.
The practical value of the President's Club is not the trophy. It is what the award requires. A contractor cannot reach it without consistent craftsmanship, verified customer satisfaction, and the ability to offer GAF's strongest warranty coverage.
